Icaion: Solo Mode is an expansion that introduces Velkhorne, a fully autonomous opponent that allows you to play Icaion in solo mode. Each turn, Velkhorne will act through its unique Action Cards—blocking access to Qoam crystals, spreading parasites, and removing vital resources from the board.
Unlike typical solo variants, you won’t have to simulate choices “as if playing against yourself.” Velkhorne’s behavior is streamlined yet tactical: each turn, you'll see one of two actions it may perform, giving you room to plan and respond like you would against a human opponent.
Velkhorne doesn’t collect—it steals. Rather than acquiring Curio cards, Shards, or Apparatuses, it removes them from the game entirely. You’ll need sharp resource management to stay ahead. Its presence looms around the City, where each node is tied to a specific set of Regions forming its "zone." Velkhorne’s actions manipulate these zones, spreading corruption and directing parasites to sabotage your Machines and disrupt your plans.
